I've got Windows 7 running on a prest century computer I have never had GParted fail to delete a partition for good or bad. If you didn't you should run EasyBCD and get rid of the "Earlier" versions Win 98 of windows boot entry and make sure it only boots to Windows 7 and completely ignores the Win 98 partition. Are the two partitions both primary partitions or maybe extended or logical?
You got me as far as GParted's failure goes, some kind of lock on the partition? I have no clue, so maybe someone else will. TerryNet Terry.
