I know of solidworks being able to do that but that's not an autodesk product and i think it would take me a lot of time to find out how to get a free licence for it if i were able in the first place. You're right, i did find that out but it's no big deal cuz i had it installed it anyway. I installed inventor after that and i gave it a shot then i got something else instead, ftool, which is extremly easy and practical and specifically designed for this type of work.

Started fresh and I didnt migrate any previouse settings since they were all uninstalled. I opened up a drawing and the zoom extents wasn't working then I set the indexctl to "2" in the drawing I was in and the zoom extents started working again.

Since then its been working regardless of setting the indexctl. It must be a glitch or something. I dont understand CAD sometimes. So any word on if or when this will be fixed? Uninstalling our previous and stable version of cad is not really an option, and having to uninstall and reinstall for our entire office isn't going to happen either.

It would be nice if this known bug could just be fixed. And before anyone asks, my indexctl is and has been set to 3 for both the refrences and in my main drawing files.
