There was no victory gained. Next is book two, and what I read there made little to no sense. Eve pushed Adam to do the right thing and when it backfires we get the most lame ass solution to stopping a war. I was expecting more from a mini war arc but it felt so bland Maybe its just me. Then in this book, everything just feels so out of control. Everything that happens in this book makes little to no sense.

Everything from setup to conclusion, makes no sense! Ok you mean to tell me that you are going to forgive the person who was so willing to chain you up, force you to do a suicide mission, and constantly harassed you through the book so easily. Just because Eve said so. I don't care that your true love told you to do it, but it's FUCKING retarded to forgive a person who doesn't give a shit about you, and was forcing you to do things that you don't want to do because they had someone you love as leverage.

Then you turn around and save the entire Queen's Hat and for what, Juliette to like you. Nothing in this story made sense. The author's only reason for Adam to care about anything is because Eve said so and because she said she care he must care.

Something seems so off about this narrative. Since book one we are promised that we will learn more about her but the author seems to have had that conversation between Adam and Eve in-between book 2 and 3.

How do you write a story about this mysterious character and have them explain everything to the MCs off page?

We have to depend on Adam remembering parts of the conversation at random intervals. Z is still somewhat promising. The author is trying to push Adam and Z together but atleast to me , it doesn't make any sense. Why start developing another relationship when the first one is in micro pieces scattered everywhere? It makes this relationship seemed forced rather than a natural progression.

I want Adam and Z to be together but it just feels so wrong. I get the unwillingness to be in a harem on her side, but Adam is a real piece of work. I don't know why, but Adam's ideology for relationships seems very out of place with the type of book this is. I don't like it when an author tries to add a new girl to a harem without developing the girl before. It feels disrespectful to every character involved because essentially you are going to have the girl before take a massive step back which would give the new girl room to develop but when the first girl isn't fleshed out it feels wrong.

These a relationships not friendships this needs to be treated with more care! Juliette is by far one of the worse characters I have read. If it wasn't for my friend telling me some spoilers, I would be fine with her being the antagonist but based on what I heard about in the later books I just hate her character. One, her attitude stinks. I hate women who believe that they are the hottest shit in the world and everyone must bend to their will. I have dealt with enough of those type of women in my real life, I don't want to read about it in my stories.

Two, her blatant disrespect for everyone around her. She believes, she knows every fucking thing and everyone is stupid and beneath her. Why you might ask, because the world was mean to her. Listen up Sally the world is down right miserable to some but that doesn't mean you have to treat people the way that you are.

I hate that excuse from people like that. And three she never truly apologized for being an absolute bitch. She may have said the line but it would take much more than "I'm sorry" to truly apologize for her behavior.

She has two of the worst qualities a person could have and you mean to tell me that the author wants me to sympathize with her. Adam in this book is so weak. No back bone, No self control, No anything to fight back about the situation he is in, he just takes all the punishment dealt to him without question.

Jeezus H Cheese but thank god I got this book from my friend or I would have been hitting up Michael-Scott Earle for a refund every minute.

Now Adam. Initially I thought he was the reluctant hero arc-type but now IDK what to think. Is he a reluctant hero or a willing hero? As it stand right now his character isn't working for me. Adam to me seems to be a very one dimensional character. There are no layers to him. No complicated story, no mystery elements, just an open book. I don't know how to feel about this.

Eve and Z seems to be characters with layers upon layers which makes them interesting to me but Adam seems kinda dull. His entire storyline just seems to be kill everything and let the beast out BUT he doesn't want to let the beast out. Plus I don't like how powerless he feels in every story so far. He always has to react to things around him and as the story goes on, things are more and more out of his control, yet he does nothing about it.

This concept would have been interesting but with how the story is written, it feels Jan 03, Holly Lenz rated it it was amazing. Zeta Hack is a fun book that's part space story and part period gangster adventure. The story is fast moving and often funny. Nothing to take too seriously, but what would you expect with a book that features a man who morphs into a tiger man anyway?

While the book is better if you read the whole series, but this book should work just fine as a stand alone adventure. Contains violence, language, and some sexual situations but no actual sex.
