Texas tech football uniforms for ut game

The Longhorns' "icy white" look is traditionally used as the team's road uniform, but that won't be the case this week when Texas takes the field in the throwback uniforms against Baylor, which will mark the first time the Longhorns have worn white jerseys at home since Texas has been one of the few college football programs that has continued to stick with its traditional uniform look rather than following suit of other teams and switching up jerseys on what seems to be a weekly basis, but will change a little bit come Saturday against Baylor, as debuted in the below video.

Texas opened the week as a two-score favorite over Baylor after the Longhorns fell to in Big 12 play following the four-overtime loss to Oklahoma in the Red River Showdown.

According to fourth-year head coach Tom Herman , the Longhorns spent the bye week after OU getting much-needed reps between the first-string offense and defense. To have three straight games come down to the final possession, the very last one being a four overtime, five-hour game in 90 degree heat, that was a pretty grueling three-game stretch for our guys, so the bye week certainly came at a very opportune time, and we made the most of it," Herman said of the Longhorns' off week production during his Monday press conference.
