Milton Bradley Cardboard Vintage Puzzles. The Sandlot Slugger game by Milton Bradley is a great example of the big hands on games from the late s. Ingenious, the batter, "Slugging Sam" is spring loaded and hits the ball with the press of a button on his foot. The object of the game is to score the most runs obviously by hitting the ball so that your opponent cannot catch it. Each time your opponent catches the ball it is an out, each time he or she misses and the runners advance the number of bases that were spun on the spinner.

The base of Sam swivels to allow you to aim the ball and the tee that holds it can be positioned at varying heights. I remember this game from my youth. It was one of my favorites.
