After the W2k install, W2k detected the printer and installed the HP drivers. I've never changed them to the C drivers. You may try deleting the printer and allow W2k to install the C drivers. When ever you print a page that has colors and black, the printer will user colors to make black. This is not correct. You no longer have the capability to print duplex. Unless you tell the printer that it is printing on "photo paper" it will not produce a good quality print.
